Stutsman County Memorial Museum

The Stutsman County Memorial Museum is housed in the Lutz Mansion, built in 1907 by George Lutz, a prominent Jamestown business man. It houses an extensive collection of pioneer artifacts and other memorabilia. The collection includes railroad, military, household, agricultural, medical and archaeological items on four floors. The air-conditioned mansion has many architectural details that single it out as an excellent representation of the Collegiate Gothic style homes of the early 1900s. Front Porch Chats are featured at 2 p.m. each Sunday afternoon from the early June until the end of August. These presentations by local historians or craftsmen tell the stories of our pioneer heritage. Admission is free to the public and is handicapped accessible. 

A gazebo (bandstand) that is a replica of the historic gazebo originally in the NP Railroad Park in downtown Jamestown is available on site for events and celebrations. The gazebo is handicapped accessible, there is a nominal charge for events scheduled there.
