Teddy Bear Picnic in the South Unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park
Come out to the South Unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park and take part in our Teddy Bear picnic on July 10, 2014. Participants will have an opportunity to learn about how the Teddy Bear got its name and some fun park facts. All children will receive a goodie bag full of Teddy Bear treats and have an opportunity to meet Smokey Bear. So load the kids and their teddy bears in the car and come out to Medora for a Bear-y Good Time! Registration is at 12:45 p.m. MDT at Cottonwood Campground in the South Unit; picnic festivities will begin at 1 p.m. The picnic is free, though the park's regular entrance fee will be charged. (Lunch will not be served, so please be sure to grab lunch at one of Medora's fine restaurants before heading over).
