German Russian Heritage Tour
North Dakota was the destination of approximately 70,000 German-speaking settlers from the Volga River region and from German villages in what is now the Ukraine. Travel from Bismarck to the Lawrence Welk Homestead State Hostoric Site with plenty of stops at stunning churches and iron-cross cemeteries along the way. Includes transportation, lunch and snack (hint: it's kuchen!)
- Hours of Operation: Tours depart Sundays 11 a.m. from the North Dakota State Museum and return at 4 p.m. Dates are June 4, July 2 and August 6. Preregistration is required.
