Bismarck, N.D. - Explore a fun way to network, learn and cross-promote business at this year’s North Dakota Tourism Development workshop “Growing Tourism Businesses in a Growing North Dakota” April 14 at the Fargo Hilton Garden Inn.

Keynote speaker will be Joanne Steele from Rural Tourism Marketing Group. Steele has worked with communities and business owners throughout the U.S. and Canada to help them bring more visitors to their destinations. Other session topics include steps for starting or growing your business and how to turn your ideas into reality. There will also be a panel featuring operators who have successfully started a tourism-related business, resources for starting or growing a tourism business, and a networking lunch.

Sponsored by North Dakota Tourism, the workshop is a kick-off to the 2014 North Dakota Travel Industry Conference.

“This workshop is a great opportunity for anyone currently operating a tourism business, or those who are considering it and want to learn about the benefits,” said Dean Ihla, tourism development manager at the North Dakota Tourism Division. “Participants will hear directly from national experts and have opportunities to network with other providers across the state.”

Attendees can preregister and view the agenda at www.ndtourism.com/north-dakota-tourism-development-workshop. Early registration is available until April 1 for $20. All registrations include the tourism development workshop, networking lunch and resource materials.

Attendees of the North Dakota Travel Industry Conference can attend the workshop at no additional cost. The agenda for the North Dakota Travel Industry Conference can be found at www.ndtourism.com/information/2014-travel-industry-conference.
