Theodore Roosevelt National Park named a best kid-friendly attraction by FamilyFun magazine
National Park is North Dakota’s most popular tourism attraction, averaging more than 600,000 visitors per year
Bismarck, N.D. – Theodore Roosevelt National Park was ranked in FamilyFun magazine’s annual listing of best kid-friendly locations and vacation spots in the country. The national park, located in western North Dakota, was named as one of the top 10 national parks and preserves.
This is the second year FamilyFun magazine has conducted its FamilyFun Travel Awards. U.S. family travel destinations were chosen by real families from across the country, and they were ranked in a variety of categories, including kid-friendly cities, museums, zoos and aquariums, and theme parks. All of the winners are featured in the April issue of FamilyFun.
“As North Dakota’s most popular tourism attraction, Theodore Roosevelt National Park is a perfect place for families to vacation,” North Dakota Tourism Director Sara Otte Coleman said. “It’s a legendary place for kids and parents to explore nature and learn about the history of our nation and state. Families can explore the national park like Theodore Roosevelt did on horseback, see wildlife in its natural setting, admire the park’s untamed beauty, and take in a hike for exercise.”
