Annual Bloggers & Writers Workshop Slated For April 13-14 In Fargo
BISMARCK, N.D. – The North Dakota Department of Commerce will host the seventh annual workshop for bloggers and writers April 13-14 at the Radisson Hotel in downtown Fargo.
“Whether you freelance as a business, write for a local paper or blog for your personal passions, this workshop has something for you,” Kim Schmidt, public & media relations manager, Department of Commerce said. “You are sure to leave with ideas for your next blog, story or freelance project.”
The event will feature ways to explore and write about all things “North Dakota”, along with workshops focused on connecting bloggers and writers with more information to hone their skills and business sense. The event will also include a dine-around in downtown Fargo Sunday evening for participants.
“Once again we will be teaming up with some of the tastiest places in Fargo for our popular dine-around,” Schmidt says. “The dine-around event was a major success last year and we anticipate it will be bigger and better this year.”
The workshop will feature a number of speakers including Rachel Hutton, editor of Minnesota Monthly Magazine; Jessie Veeder, North Dakota based musician and writer and Amity Moore a Denver-based freelance writer and editor who specializes in travel and art.
Registration for the event is $50. Space is limited. A room block has been set aside at the Radisson Hotel at 701-232-7363. Request the Bloggers & Writers Workshop when calling to make reservations.
