Hauntings, Howlings and more Boo News

Get your heart racing this Halloween season with a "spooktacular" trip to North Dakota!  Thrills begin at the Haunted Fort - a spookified version of Fort Abraham Lincoln, where legend says the spirit of Libbie Custer (Lt. Col. George Custer's widow) torments the rebuilt "Custer House" at Fort Abraham Lincoln, south of Mandan. Open weekends, October 11 through November 2. Be sure to watch the trailer to get a taste.

Zombies will be taking over Grand Forks this month. Zombie Fest 2013 includes costume contests, Zombie Prom, movies, theater and more.

If what truly terrifies you is extreme racing, consider competing in a 12-hour Halloween-themed mountain bike race OR 12-hour solo or team trail run. These are part of the Extreme North Dakota (END) race series.

It's a BOO-tiful time to visit North Dakota. Enjoy a special HOWL-oween event, October 26, at the Red River Zoo in Fargo and learn more on corn mazes, parades, trick-or-treating events and REAL haunting experiences. Start your journey at NDtourism.com
