Spring Snow Goose Season

Hunters can take snow geese as they return north in the spring

By now, everyone is familiar with fall waterfowl hunting in North Dakota. The Central Flyway is like an interstate leading hundreds of thousands of geese south for the winter. When winter is over, that same interstate brings the birds back through North Dakota where hunters wait during the spring snow goose season. Hunters planning a trip to the field can click here for an updated "traffic report" on migration through the state. The spring snow goose season runs through May 17.

Hunters with furbearer licenses should keep in mind that the coyote season in North Dakota is year-round. Click here for more about coyote hunting.
